Indianapolis’ most anticipated fundraising event invites guests to slow down and come out of the shells for a giant party. Zoobilation 2025: Giant Shellabration presented by Citizens Energy Group celebrates the Indianapolis Zoo’s newest exhibit – Giant Tortoise.

Tickets for the Indianapolis Zoo’s largest annual fundraising event go on sale on February 4 at 9 a.m. on the Zoo’s website. The event will take place at the Zoo on Friday, June 13.

Zoobilation is the Midwest’s largest black-tie fundraising event and is also a party with a purpose, providing for the care of the Zoo’s 1,400 animals and 48,000 plants as well as the Zoo’s global conservation network. The Indianapolis Zoo is the largest privately funded zoo in the United States and receives no direct annual tax support revenue.

About the Zoo’s newest exhibit: Two of the world’s largest tortoise species, Galapagos and Aldabra tortoises, are coming to the Indianapolis Zoo on Memorial Day Weekend 2025. Guests will have opportunities to come face-to-face with these giants, which can measure up to four feet long and weigh several hundred pounds.
