The WNBA All-Star 2025 Host Committee has announced the 25 In 25 All-Star Initiative, designed to help women business owners in Indiana earn their Women Business Enterprise (WBE) certification. This program aims to create a lasting economic impact beyond the AT&T WNBA All-Star 2025, taking place July 18-19 in Indianapolis.
The initiative will provide mentorship and support to 25 local entrepreneurs, guiding them through the WBE certification process. This certification verifies that a business is at least 51% women-owned, led, and controlled, enhancing its visibility with public and private organizations seeking diverse suppliers and procurement partnerships.
“Our goal is to harness the energy of WNBA All-Star 2025 to empower women business owners across Indiana,” said Tracy Ellis-Ward, WNBA All-Star 2025 Host Committee Legacy staff lead and senior vice president of diversity, equity, and inclusion at Pacers Sports & Entertainment. “By achieving certification, these entrepreneurs will gain greater access to resources and opportunities that can help elevate their businesses.”
Women business owners interested in participating can apply by emailing supplierdiversity@pacers.com by 5 p.m. on April 4. Selected participants will attend an informational session in the coming months and have the opportunity to complete their certification by July. The program will also offer additional workshops focused on business development and growth.
To streamline the certification process, the Host Committee is partnering with the Office of Minority and Women Business Development in Indianapolis, the Indiana Department of Administration’s Division of Supplier Diversity, and the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council. SOAR Consulting LLC, a certified M/WBE business, will provide coaching and support, helping each company prepare and strengthen their application.
