Indianapolis Cultural Trail, Inc. has unveiled an expanded 2025 lineup of bike tours and free community group rides, set to begin this May and continue through the fall. With guided experiences every Thursday evening and Saturday morning, the updated schedule offers residents and visitors a variety of opportunities to discover the city by bike along the nationally acclaimed Indianapolis Cultural Trail: A Legacy of Gene and Marilyn Glick.
“The Cultural Trail has transformed the way people experience downtown Indianapolis and connects people to cultural districts, neighborhoods, public art and destinations and serves as the connector for the city’s greenway network,” said Kären Haley, executive director of Indianapolis Cultural Trail, Inc. “Our tour and group ride programs provide a way for people to experience the Cultural Trail in a new way while learning more about our city and its many cultural destinations and how you can ride bikes to get to so many places. We’ve curated our tours and group rides to build community, provide a unique Indianapolis experience, and help people feel comfortable navigating the Cultural Trail and our city on a bicycle.”
Bike Tours and Group Ride Details
Bike tours are priced at $45 and include everything a rider needs for a memorable experience: a Pacers Bikeshare bike, helmet, and a 2-3 hour guided tour led by local experts. All tours will depart from the Indianapolis Cultural Trail headquarters at 132 W. Walnut St.
Free group rides will also take place throughout the season, offering a more casual and social biking experience. While registration is required due to limited capacity, donations are encouraged to support the Cultural Trail’s mission. Most group rides also depart from the Cultural Trail headquarters, except for the popular Roast Rides, which start at the Orange Bridge along the Downtown Canal. Riders should bring their own bicycles; however, a limited number of Pacers Bikeshare bikes and adaptive bikes are available by request.
Proceeds from both bike tours and group rides go directly toward supporting the maintenance, stewardship, and community programming of the 10-mile Indianapolis Cultural Trail.
