Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra Presents Land in the Music

Writer: Joey AmatoJoey Amato

The Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra (ICO) is excited to bring back the ICO Chorus for our Land in the Music concert. This unique program will be held at The Schrott Center for the Arts (Butler University), on April 5th at 7:30pm.

The ICO is thrilled to welcome exceptional guest artists to the stage. Featuring our own composer-in-residence, Reinaldo Moya, along with soloists, Victoria Botero and Norman Shankle, we’ll explore the universal themes of homeland, displacement, and resilience with Home, Run Away From Me. This concert will take you on a musical journey from poetry to contemporary stories of the refugee experience. Audiences will also journey to sunny California with Martinu’s Sinfonietta La Jolla, before the ICO professional Chorus returns for Haydn’s Mass in the Time of War.

Get tickets by calling 317-940-9607 or online HERE. Students and children are free with reservation.
