Indiana Pacers fans have a unique opportunity to combine their love for basketball with a scenic bike ride through downtown Indianapolis at the first-ever “Pedal To The Pacers” event. On April 10, fans are invited to participate in a guided 2.5-mile bicycle ride along the Indianapolis Cultural Trail, starting in the Factory Arts District and ending at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, just in time for the Pacers’ much-anticipated showdown against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. tip-off.
The Pacers, currently holding a 43-30 record and sitting in fourth place in the Eastern Conference, will face the top-ranked Cavaliers, who boast an impressive 59-15 record. With the postseason approaching, the Pacers are eager to maintain their momentum and secure home court advantage.
“Riders of all ages are welcome to participate in our first-ever bike to the game event in downtown Indianapolis and can expect to see surprise special guests like Pacers mascot, Boomer, along the route,” said Pacers Sports & Entertainment CEO Mel Raines. “This fun, family-friendly ride is a great way to explore Indianapolis and support the Pacers and our exciting push to the playoffs.”
To participate, fans must RSVP at Pacers.com/Pedal. Those who register will gain access to an exclusive, online-only ticket offer, starting at just $13.20.
The event will kick off at the Factory Arts District, located at 1125 Brookside Dr., where participants can meet and park their vehicles at 5 p.m. The group ride will depart at 5:45 p.m. toward Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Riders should bring their own bikes, but a limited number of Pacers Bikeshare bikes will be available for free use by those 18 years or older.
In coordination with Bike Indianapolis, Pacers Sports & Entertainment will provide free bike valet and monitored bike parking on the first floor of the Virginia Avenue Garage, located at 155 Delaware St., next to Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
For added convenience, ride guides will be on hand at the end of the third quarter and after the game to escort bicyclists back to their vehicles. While the Cultural Trail is well-lit, participants are encouraged to bring bike lights for the return trip.
For fans unable to attend in person, the game will be broadcast on the FanDuel Sports Network and available for livestreaming on the FanDuel Sports Network app. Visit FanDuelSportsNetwork.com for subscription details. The game will also air locally on 93.5 FM and 107.5 FM The Fan.
