ArtPrize, in partnership with the Eiteljorg Museum and other leading arts organizations nationwide, is excited to announce the return of Pitch Night — a dynamic, live event where bold artistic visions come to life. Held in five cities across the U.S. including Indianapolis, this electrifying competition gives artists the chance to present their most ambitious ideas for a chance to participate in ArtPrize 2025, taking place Sept. 18 – Oct. 4 in Grand Rapids.

The Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art will host one round of the ArtPrize Pitch Night competition, in the Native American art division, on April 17. Five selected artists will be given five minutes each to present their idea to a panel of five judges. After a brief Q-and-A, one winning artist will be awarded a $10,000 grant to support bringing their concept to life this fall at ArtPrize 2025 — one of the world’s most dynamic cultural festivals, drawing nearly 800,000 visitors annually.

“I am excited to partner with the ArtPrize to provide this incredible opportunity for our audience to experience the immense creativity and brilliance of contemporary Native artists,” Eiteljorg Museum President and CEO Kathryn Haigh said. “We are thrilled to activate the museum with the energy of the Pitch Night and look forward to sharing these talented finalists’ proposals with our community. This event will certainly be a memorable moment in our ongoing celebration of Native art and culture.”

Open by invitation to museum members, community groups and artists, the Pitch Night event starts at 6 p.m. Thursday April 17 at the Eiteljorg and continues until the judges have made their decision; a reception hosted by Kahn’s Catering will follow.

Sponsored by Visit Indy, the judging round at the Eiteljorg is open to submissions by Native American artists from state or federally recognized tribes with tribal ID, as well as First Nations from Canada, Inuit and Métis artists. For artist eligibility, submission deadlines and event details, visit https://artprize.fillout.com/pnEiteljorg.
